turning a corner

tonight obama became our president.

i do not pay much attention to politics because
i feel like i don’t get to know a real person
when people campaign and it goes downhill
from there.

however tonight, it felt oddly different.
not because of obama but more for what
he represents and how it
is seemingly lifting the spirits of
“our” morale.

it has given people a fresh perspective.
one that might infuse them with a new
sense of possibility.

everyone on the set was happy for the win.
ME…
i cried because i love hope.
and it was all around.
