leoniedreammeditation“Divine Dreaming” Meditation Kit: I was treated to a pre-release of this super amazing meditation. It is designed to help peeps that have a tough time falling asleep & making sure you get a groovy nights rest.  I found it quite soothing to focus on a guided meditation instead of my over imaginative thoughts.  Leonie has one of the most “sleep-inducing’ voices I know (I mean that in a VERY good way!). The music is really great, too. Uber calming.  To get more information: go HERE.  See if it is a tool that can help you sleep easier. (PS for 3 days, she is offering a 25% off early bird special- use coupon code SWEETSLUMBER!!)

Clearing the clutter you can't see e-course“Clearing the Clutter You Can’t See E-Course”:  I was waiting for this course, I knew it was coming!  Last month, I worked on my outer clutter with so much gentle joy.  It wasn’t hard.  Lisa finds a way to make it painless.  My room was exploding with clutter (not good!) now it is cozy & tidy like I wanted.  I am at my best with clean & zenified living so taking this course is super important.  Next step, to get rid of the “inner clutter” which can get me stuck in my journey. (Until August 21, there is an early bird special!! Just $50 for 6 weeks of e-lessons & email support from Lisa)

PS. This is a chance to gently D-I-Y your life with a really cool chick who will offer tips, suggestions & boatloads of encouragement.

1 UpUpCreative:  These really simple almost zen paper goods are some of my favorite things.  Recently, I got the feelgood list and recipe cards.  Those cards are a perfect way to cater to my inner foodie with style!

Joy Rebel Photography: Brandi captures small moments of joy & inspiration. Peek in her etsy shop, Joy Rebel Prints.  I have the “Buddha” on my wish list & I keep asking for the turquoise & pink print.  CALL TO ACTION;  Maybe you can help me, email her and let her know the pink roses & turquoise trellis print is the coolest and she should list it! Thanks lovely peeps!

(I will put the buttons in the side bar so you can purchase either the “Divine Dreaming Meditation” or “Clearing the Clutter You Can’t See E-Course”)

Embracing the foodie in me: chocolate-covered strawberries

in recipes, tuesday tips

Most of you know me well enough by now to realize I *love* food.  Everything about it. Shopping. Prepping. Cooking. Eating. (One thing I do not like is the dishes afterwards but I like the other so much it’s worth it!)

I wanted to make Tuesday a treat day!  In order to do this I am channeling my inner “sweets goddess”.

Here is a tutorial on making chocolate covered strawberries.  One of my favorite goodies.  They always put a smile on my face. :-)

time for a story:  I had been traveling all the time last year & on my way back to NM. I stopped at one of my favorite hotels in phoenix (hotel valley ho).  It is a boutique hotel w/ great amenities and the peeps are super helpful & nice.  Anyways, after about 6 hours of driving, I had an idea to treat myself to some chocolate-covered strawberries in my room when I got there.  Now I am not this 5-star gal, but the past year I have been taking better care of me and trying not to find the cheapest place available at the cost of my safety.  When I called them, I talked to Judy who is the most amazing gal (and concierge)…she said she would be glad to help and that they would be in my room when I arrived.  Then she said, get this!!: let’s say it is a congratulations treat so it will be complimentary.  can you believe it?!?!?  When I arrived at my room I savored those lovely berries, they were so delicious.  All that to say, treat yourself.  You are so worth it!

This is the first time making this treat for myself.  I learned some things in the process.  I think the next time, they could be a little more pretty.  That is what I love about cooking- you can grow & learn & adjust.  Each attempt is an opportunity to put more of ‘you’ in the final product. I find that so exciting!

I hope you get inspired to make some chocolate-covered strawberries or another groovy treat.  You deserve some magical yumminess in your life.

It’s been done before. SO WHAT?

Picture this.

You have a good idea.

You think it is cool and original and want to share.

So you go asking around or searching for help on how to execute it.

Then the worst happens…

Someone else has done it before you!!!!

This happened to me about six months ago, I thought up this neat idea on a mini walkabout I was doing.  When I got home I was surfing the ‘net and reading some blogs, that is when I saw it…a link that took me to a blog written by a beautiful soul who had the same idea and executed it brilliantly.

Needless to say, I was crushed.  I thought to myself, ” Oh boy, now if I do it then people are going to think I was ‘ripping off” this person. That sucks.”  It discouraged me because I really liked the idea.

CUT TO:  TODAY (putting in a little of my movie flair *lol*)

Since then I have let that one go, that is when this lovely & perfect idea came to me. My ‘Love & A Photo’ Series.  It was kismet.  Now I am not saying that it hasn’t been done or I am reinventing the wheel. I’m not.  There have been about 1,000 people to do a similar thing.  Thing is, this is ME.

There is only one ME and only one YOU. So rock it out. Your peeps need you to share. :)

So let’s say you have an idea and it’s been done? Roll up your sleeves and get to it!

The world is desperate for you to make YOUR “voice” heard.

It is.

Reading made easy

This month,  part of my focus is being more aware of my consumerist ways (yes, I can be a bit of a shopaholic, *lol*. I’m working on it though).  I think it is important to take stock of what you buy.

So what do I do when I want something to read and do not want to pop on over to Amazon or hit the local big chain bookstore?

First, there are so many wonderful e-books out there and the price can be kept low because the cost of ‘publishing’ them is not as expensive.  Here are a few of the fun books I have been reading lately.  Zen Habits: Handbook for Life , Complete Guide to Vision Boards (sign up for her newsletter and the book is a gift!), A Year of Change (also free when you sign up for newsletter), The Usual Error (Kyeli/Pace are graciously downloading one chapter at a time for free; you can also get your own copy of the e-book)

I head over to the book co-op in town.  They have a RIDICULOUS (in a good way) amount of used books.  I bring old books I will not be reading anymore and “trade” them in for new ones (it isn’t free but pretty darn close).  My last trip I picked up these books: The Alchemist, My Sisters’ Keeper (a tear jerker, only buy if you want to cry), Swan’s Song. A major plus of this option is that the knowledgable book peeps know my name! :)

Reading online articles is a great way to learn about current events and such without buying a newspaper or subscribing to a magazine which just contributes to a build up of clutter. I know I am currently trying to cut down on extra stuff which will just sit in my bedroom.

If you do end up getting magazines/newspapers delivered a few things you can do with them are:

1) Shred them and make packing material for packages.  It works great and you don’t have to buy bubble wrap.

2) Cut out pretty pictures or inspiring words, then make a vision board to keep you flowing on days that you are challenged. :)  It is also a way to nurture you inner artsy goddess girl!

3) Newspaper only: It works better than paper towels for cleaning windows.  They will sparkle!

Happy reading~~
